I haven't played them, but the 3DS version is supposed to be decent, while the original DS version isn't as good. And then after that came the Nintendo DS (Rayman DS) and most recently Nintendo 3DS (Rayman 3D) versions.
#Rayman n64 ps2
After that came the PS2 version, Rayman 2 Revolution, which is fine but also has the real speech, and it makes other changes to the game, not all of which are for the better. The PS1 version also replaces the N64 fake-speech voices that the previous versions all have with actual voice acting I think that this is a downgrade, I prefer the original squaking sounds. They had to downgrade the game a lot to get it running on a Playstation. The game is also on PS1, but that version's awful, avoid. It probably is the best version of the game. The DC version is the original game and it's really fantastic.
#Rayman n64 Pc
It's the same as the PC version, except with only a 640x480 maximum resolution (the PC supports 800圆00), but on the other hand with a few DC-exclusive minigames. If you don't want to deal with getting the PC version working, my favorite console version is the Dreamcast version. The PC version has issues, but it is on GOG and that version should work, with some tweaking. The game was first released for the N64 and PC, and the two versions are identical except that the PC version has better graphics and sound, with higher resolution support, higher audio quality, and such. However, while the N64 version is great, there are better versions of the game. There's a lot of variety, and everything is really good. The game has great graphics and art design, and game design that's as good as the graphics. It's not quite Mario 64, but it is my favorite Ubisoft game ever. Rayman 2 is one of the best 3d platformers ever, and for the time it's in my top three.
The whole story about how that love triangle thing played out is, frankly, nuts and scary, and involves this girl bringing us to a compound of dangerous scientology spinoff cultists on that same trip, who roofied us, attempted to recruit/scam me and attempted to abduct/rape the girl I ended up dating, in what was a fucking scary situation that resulted in me and the other girl and the rest of my friend circle never speaking to this girl from the accusation again.

Plus she became infatuated with the other girl simultaneously to this (she's bi), which created the aforementioned bizarre love triangle that ended up causing her to implode and have an apparently very intense and long-lasting grudge. Supposedly this was not a problem for her from accusation, but in reality she uhhh wanted me to die painfully after seeing me and the other girl interact. I wanted to just stay friends with the girl making the accusation and made it super super clear ahead of time that me and the other girl were interested in each other romantically and that could play out as such when we met up. This NOLA story she apparently just put up on social media is a delusion of a deeply disturbed person who had a total psychological breakdown as a result of me and the other girl getting together, because she (phew, yeah.) became obsessively infatuated with the other girl (she's bi) on sight when the three of us met up. The woman in question ended up being completely psychotic and held a grudge against me after a bizarre love triangle situation developed a few years ago between me, her, and another girl (the other girl I ended up in a long-term relationship with shortly thereafter).

Okay, so, this is a personal and somewhat complex web of nonsense involving a highly unstable individual I was friends and briefly FWBs with, but I can only assume there will be a never-ending clusterfuck on gaf now until the end of time, which inevitably involves you guys and gals on the mod team in some way, so I'm an open book here.
